Who is Genaro Rivas?

Genaro Rivas is a fashion designer and entrepreneur from Peru, named by FORBES as one of Peru’s top 50 CREATIVES. Genaro is a pioneer in sustainable and inclusive practices. His creations combine traditional craftsmanship with innovation and technology. He created the first 3D-printed dress in Latin America and was the first Peruvian designer to present his collection 'Beautiful James' at London Fashion Week, earning recognition from Forbes.

 

Genaro describes his fashion journey as an 'a work of art under constant construction'. His goal to give Fashion a Purpose, is evident in his collections: working with different teams of Artisans and Makers from Peru and London. Using sustainable materials and practices in all of his collections. From Handmade Straw bags to beautiful Alpaca Coats.

In 2024, he graduated from the London College of Fashion, where he developed a Methodology for Fair Wages in collaborations between artisans and designers.
